This is a PRN position. The MRI Tech is responsible for daily modality operations. They perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) according to established protocols and works closely under the direction of the Radiologist and other physicians. They are also expected to contribute to the training and onboarding of new employees and assist in supervision of MRI students. Essential Job Functions include completing assigned tasks in a time frame appropriate for the situation; selecting and operating the magnetic resonance system; applying principles of magnetic resonance safety; properly positioning the patient; performing IV injections; participating in education/instruction of students; and maintaining controlled access to the magnet room. Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry is required, along with BLS Basic Life Support certification. An Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute is preferred, along with 1 year of experience in an MRI department in a hospital setting.
