Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, operates and maintains boilers and all mechanical equipment relevant to heating, cooling and emergency power supply. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. What qualifications you will need:

* Stationary Engineer License preferred.
* Four (4) years in stationary engineering work consisting of a minimum of three (3) years operating high-pressure steam boilers producing over 10 hp and steam pressure over 15 p.s.i. or water heating boilers when the water temperature exceeds 250 degrees F in the system, and minimum of one (1) year operating refrigeration equipment preferred.
* Must be knowledgeable of high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, absorbers and other related equipment. Skilled in standard serving and repair operations. Ability to handle heavy equipment.
