Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director IT Operations the Contractor SharePoint Lead is a member of the IT team with extensive SharePoint skills and extensive experience with enterprise-wide migrations to SharePoint. The Contractor will partner closely with the IT Infrastructure Team and the IT Business Partner team in leading the enterprise-wide project for migrating files from legacy systems to Customer's SharePoint instance.

Duties

• As the Project Manager/ Analyst for the SharePoint migration project, this role will partner closely with Customer’s IT Infrastructure team, Customer’s IT Business Partner team, and Customer’s third-party partner SharePoint migration team to create a comprehensive project plan with detailed activities, deliverables and timelines.
• The SharePoint Lead will be responsible for timelines, budgets and resources.
• The SharePoint Lead will coordinate with the project stakeholders to ensure assigned tasks are completed on a timely basis and to address and mitigate issues and risks.
• The SharePoint Lead will contribute to the development of methods and best practices for the discovery, analysis, and execution activities.
• The SharePoint Lead will leverage their extensive SharePoint skills to assist the IT Business Partners with analyzing and mapping files that need to be migrated to SharePoint, the design of the information architecture (sites and subsites), the setup of site-based roles and responsibilities, and the development of training content and training execution.
• The SharePoint Lead will leverage their SharePoint skills to help address support related support requests during the project duration, and document support-related knowledge articles to be used by Customer’s Help Desk team.
• The SharePoint Lead will lead and facilitate the SharePoint project meetings, provide timely project status, issues and risks using Customer templates and methodology.
• The SharePoint lead will coordinate and assist in the creation of end user training.

Core Competencies

• Project Management experience migrating SharePoint from 3rd parties such as Box, Egnyte, File Servers, etc. Project management certification is preferred.
• Designing and developing SharePoint sites.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the needs of the various business functions and ability to budget and resource migrations based on previous experience and provide relevant and impactful solution approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to drive towards on-time completion of tasks.
• Proactively gauge levels of effort, potential risks and put mitigation steps into place.
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in approaches for migrating files to SharePoint.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally and with clarity for purposes of training, project status and minutes, and project announcements.
• Understanding global biotechnology or pharmaceutical company ecosystems, tools, and technology is preferred.

Experience

• 8 or more years of project management experience for large and enterprise-wide collaboration platform projects.
• Leading multiple projects for the purpose of migrating files from legacy systems to SharePoint.
• 8 or more years of SharePoint site design and development.
• 5+ years of experience partnering with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor partnerships is required
